A gift set of three fragrances in 15ml bottles.
Eccentric British Traditions. Three fragrances that reflect some very British experiences.
- What I Did on My Holidays – fresh sea air, suntan lotion, candyfloss and ice cream
- Rhubarb & Custard – if you dreamed of a rhubarb & crumble fragrance this would be it
- Mrs Gloss Lemon Sherbet – memories of sweet shops and playtime, the dipdab
What I Did On My Holidays is the story of a day at the seaside, but this time it’s summer holidays in Scarborough or Brighton or St Anne’s, somewhere with an amusement arcade, mint rock shop and a candy floss stand. Suntan lotion and rock pools, in and out of the sea all day until the wind gets too strong, the waves are too high and you put your shorts and T-shirt back on, over your slightly damp cooling skin, and head for the café.
Lavender, melon and coconut lotion, seaweed and fresh sea air, a waft of peppermint as you pass the rock shop. There’s candy floss – as you walk through the funfair – and it all settles down to nice vanilla ice cream.
The Rhubarb & Custard fragrance we all dreamed of. It’s named 1:29, not after a train timetable, but because it’s 1 part Rhubarb & Citrus Cologne to 29 parts Vanilla Custard; this turned out to be the ideal combination of the two separate fragrances which we tested. The ideal blend of tart with sweet, smooth with sharp, bright with soothing, the perfect balance between the two contrasting themes. A pudding in a perfume. Notes: rhubarb, grapefruit, lemon, bergamot, biscuits, vanilla, hay, tobacco.
Lemon Sherbet is a bright light sparky citrus scent to drag us out of the grey days of winter into shiny spring! Bursts of citrus and lemon tartness, with a touch of mellow sweetness too it is the most sophisticated way we can think of to bring back memories of sweet shops and playtimes. The tanginess of citrus fruits, the softness of musk and vanilla.
