Machined from solid billets of metal, 17 individual components are hand assembled to form each cufflink (34 per pair). It is this precision manufacturing method that gives Involute cufflinks their distinct engineered feel, exceptional fit and finish, and the ability for each cufflink’s gear to spin so quickly and to also mesh so precisely with each other.

These cufflinks are made from the finest materials: 6063 Aerospace Aluminium (with a T6 temper), unleaded C36000 Naval Brass and 440 Surgical Stainless Steel. This results in a durable product which we hope will last you for many years to come.

We spent a lot of time perfecting the finish of our cufflinks; each component is subjected to a multi-step finishing process. These processes include bead blasting, anodising and bright dipping. To ensure we meet our own rigorous standards, each cufflink is hand-assembled and tested.

By using only the finest components, these cufflinks can spin in excess of 20,000 RPM; that’s 300 rotations every second, faster than an F1 engine.

Strictly limited in production numbers, your individually serialised cufflinks will arrive in a padded, anodised, aluminium storage/travel case to ensure they can safely accompany you anywhere you desire.

All our MK1 cufflinks come with an extensive warranty and yes they can be held by LEGO® Minifigures.

Refund Policy

You have the right to return goods purchased from Involute for any reason whatsoever within 14 days of the goods being delivered.

In order to affect a return, please email us (info@involute.industries) to initiate the returns procedure. We will require that goods be returned to us in their original packing, complete with all paperwork (as applicable) and must arrive at Involute in an un-used, saleable condition. We cannot accept returns for used or damaged goods. Please include a dated proof of purchase with your return (the confirmation email you received is perfectly fine). If you would like to return goods after this 14-day window, please get in touch anyway and we will see what we can do on a case-by-case basis.

Warranty 

Involute uses the highest quality materials, machinery and tools to create its products, which are Engineered in Britain to rigorous standards. Involute expects its goods to last for an extended amount of time and will, even after the warranty period has expired, endeavour to offer repair services for its products.  

Involute warrants that the goods it supplies are of merchantable quality and against defects arising from the manufacturing of the goods within one (1) year of the date of purchase of the goods. This warranty is referred to in this document as the “manufacturer’s warranty” or “warranty”. If any goods do not conform to the warranty Involute will, at its sole discretion, offer the customer (otherwise referred to in this document as “you”, the “customer” or the “owner”) either to: 

  1. Replace the goods found not to conform with the warranty, either in part or in full.

  2. Bring the goods into conformity with the warranty (referred to in this document as a “repair”).

  3. Take back the goods and found to not confirm to the warranty and to offer a refund (partial or full).

Limitations of the warranty 

Where a product is individually serialised or limited it may not be possible to replace the good with one which is serialised or part of the same series. In this event Involute may replace the goods with a compatible or equivalent model which may be lacking serialisation. 

In a pair of goods (such as cufflinks) where a fault is present in only one of the items, where a replacement is offered, Involute may choose (at its sole discretion) to replace only the affected item rather than the entire set. 

Before a repair, replacement or refund can take place the goods must be returned to Involute for inspection. In the event Involute upholds your warranty claim we will contact you with the outcome and the options available to you. If a repair or replacement is offered then Involute will ship these to you free of charge. We will endeavour to effect a repair, replacement or refund quickly – however this may take up to 10 working days to be completed, before being shipped. We are not responsible for delivery delays or restive colonists throwing our goods into the harbour. 

It may not always be possible to repair goods returned to us. Should you not wish for a replacement to be made for sentimental or other reasons you must inform us of this in writing before returning the goods. 

In the event that the goods were not purchased directly from Involute you should contact your retailer for their returns procedures. 

You may still have a guarantee with Involute if your product was purchased from another retailer – please contact us in this instance. 

If goods are returned to Involute but Involute is unable to contact you through the contact methods left with Involute by the owner, Involute may recycle or dispose of the product(s) as it sees fit after 28 days. 

Whilst Involute endeavours to store all returned goods as safely and securely as possible it is the Owner’s responsibility to ensure all goods are insured whilst at Involute for repair. Involute cannot accept any liability for theft, loss or damage (howsoever caused) whilst goods are under its care. 

Where goods are returned to Involute but a replacement or repair is refused, Involute may charge the owner postage and packaging costs for the return of their goods. 

Minor cosmetic variations in the goods (even after a repair, or replacement (partial or full) of faulty goods), are not covered by the warranty. 

Repair 

Where goods are received by Involute for the purposes of repair or warranty assessment – the goods will be examined visually by a trained technician or engineer. Involute cannot be responsible for any error or omission in diagnosis of fault which this visual inspection could not reasonably be expected to have established and thereby cannot be held responsible for the failure of the repair completed to remedy the problem, even where correctly identified. Only Involute’s written description determines the condition of the goods on receipt and the remedy required. 

Estimates for repair are estimates only and are only valid when submitted in writing for 10 working days, after which the cost for repair may change. 

Where the Owner or their representative chooses not to proceed with a repair, Involute reserves the right to charge for postage and packaging before returning the goods without repair. 

In accepting a repair the Owner also accepts that there is a small risk of consequential damage, for which Involute accepts no responsibility. No responsibility is accepted for cosmetic blemishes (minor or otherwise) resultant from the repair and which do not materially affect the product’s functionality and any such blemishes are not covered under the Involute warranty.
