Unleash your inner creativity and make your own fine silver fingerprint necklace and preserve one of life’s most precious memories in an eco-friendly solid fine silver pendant. The kit and instructions come packaged in a beautiful box to make the perfect present – with optional wrapping available.

If capturing the fingerprint of a very young child, please be aware that the definition of their fingerprint does not tend to develop until nearly a year old.

No previous experience is required as the full colour step-by-step guide takes you through the whole process – from taking the fingerprint mould, to firing the pendant and finally developing a high shine finish and fixing it to a chain.

The necklace uses the magic of silver clay which is easy to use as well as being a wonderful eco-friendly product. It is made from 100% recycled particles of silver ground up into a powder and mixed with an organic binder to form a clay-like substance. When fired it transforms into 99.9% solid fine silver.

The kit also provides access to a closed Facebook group which includes additional supporting videos, lots of inspiration and information, and where you can ask questions.

Please note that your pendant will need to be fired on a gas hob. If you don’t have a gas hob in your kitchen, or a camping stove, you will need to purchase an additional firing kit available here.

Keep and reuse this kit and top it up with a few extra materials to make additional fingerprint jewellery pieces. Alternatively you can advance your skills with a selection of mini follow-on project kits which reuses the tools. Using recycled silver helps to limit the amount of metals that need to be mined. This means less waste in landfills and helps slow the consumption of natural resources. It also avoids the use of child labour in mines. The box, tissue paper, packaging and postal wrapper are all made from recycled materials, or can be recycled.
