Our Top Food and Wine Perfect Pairings to take you through the Weekend

It’s Fridaaaayyy and time for Pinot Noir and Camembert tonight. Here’s a wine that works beautifully with both charcuterie and creamy cheeses. Try the Chartham Pinot Noir, 12%, Chartham Vineyard from Buy Britain Wines as you put your feet up tonight, ready for the weekend. This light and fresh wine’s flavour delivers red cherry, red plum and a light five spice with gentle tannins and a bright finish. A refreshing aperitif working beautifully with your favourite creamy cheese. And Relax!

Cheese and English Pinot Noir wine pairings

On Saturday, treat yourself to a gorgeous zesty Seafood Linguine Lunch and a glass of Biddenden Ortega, 11%. This is a tremendously good English wine from Kent’s oldest vineyard. Off dry, fruity, displaying fresh aromas of apple and grapefruit. Semi-aromatic on the nose, displays appealing fresh aromas of green apple, grapefruit, cut grass and flora, whilst the palate is medium bodied, crisp, characterful and deliciously fruity. Delicious when served as an aperitif and pairs just so well with Seafood Linguine. Here’s a Seafood Linguine recipe we love.

On Sunday, kick back and enjoy your perfect Roast Chicken with a glass of Ashling Park Cuvée. This English wine has won the 2020 WineGB Sparkling Wine Trophy and really deserves that accolade. The aromatics display plenty of autolytic characters, biscuit, brioche, plus citrus notes and apple and honey. There is a depth to the aromatics not often found which promises a fulsome palate and long finish. On the palate there is the expected depth but great harmony and a fine mousse. It is a wine to be savoured and sipped and will provide a wonderful combination of flavours with your roast chicken or guinea fowl – the wine working to open up the food and the fresh finish of the wine on your palate. 2020 Gold Medal and 2020 Trophy winner (Best Classic Cuvée NV, Best wine in South East Region).
